You Can Now Check How People See You Online

Have you ever wondered how other people see you online? Well now you can find out!

Google has recently started rolling out a new feature called “Google About Me”, which allows users to control the personal information which other people can see about them on the web.

The new page is very similar to the Google+ page and the layout will vary for different users, depending on how much information you have given to Google in the past.

Using this tool, you will be able to see the personal details that you have handed over to online services such as YouTube, Gmail and Google Docs.

“Google About Me” allows users to add and remove information from their online profile. This means if you find something on your account that you don’t want others to see, you can remove it so it won’t appear on the web in the future.

The feature also allows users to edit the audience for each information card on their Google account. For example, you could set your contact details to be public or only visible to specific Google circles.

Privacy settings for your contact card can only be set for the entire card, meaning that you can’t choose different audiences for your phone number and email address. However, details like your birthday, gender and occupation can all be given a separate privacy setting, despite appearing on the same card.

Many believe that Google’s latest feature has been introduced as an attempt to restore confidence in the company. They have received criticism from both users and experts for the way they store and use personal information and data.

If you would like to find out what Google knows about you, “Google About Me” can be accessed via this link: You will then be asked to log in with your Gmail account before being taken to your online details.
