Celebrating Success at the Red Rose Awards 2014

15th March 2014

Celebrating the last year’s success is a great way to keep your business moving in the right direction and the fourth annual Red Rose Awards does that for a range of businesses, including one of our clients right here at Piranha!

Connect 2 Cleanrooms won Engineering Business of the Year and Medium Business of the Year at the annual award ceremony which helps celebrate the last twelve months of trading across Lancashire.

This years’ award ceremony was the biggest to date with over 1,100 representatives from a wide range of Lancashire businesses in attendance. The glamorous ceremony was held at the Blackpool Winter Gardens on the 13th March, with awards across 25 categories and compered by TV and radio personality Graham Liver.

The aim of the event is to take business success seriously, but with a smile too! This was easy with entertainment on the night from the NHS 100 Voice Choir, Blowjangles and the Ian Hooper Band. Coupled with the elation and celebration of the winners and every other attendee, the night was a roaring success!

The publisher of Lancashire Business View and producer for the Red Rose Awards, Richard Slater, said “It was a remarkable night of celebration for Lancashire business

“There’s a renewed vigour and confidence in the county’s business community and this was demonstrated by the demand to be a part of the event; we’re told this is the biggest dinner gathering ever seen in one room in the county.

“There is no question, Lancashire was the winner.”

The awards involved a wide range of businesses of all sizes and across a range of sectors, celebrating the energy and commitment that the businesses in the Lancashire area put into making their businesses a success and giving the best services to customers and clients.

The figures alone for the Red Rose Awards were impressive in themselves, including:

1,160 guests

195 shortlisted applications

139 finalist businesses

26 winners

5 Highly Commended awards

50 judges

31 sponsors

50 musicians

3 stages

2 living tables

9 big screens

850 bacon butties at midnight to delay the inevitable hangovers – after all, many of the attendees had to be back at work the next day to keep up the good work!
