How we Design Catalogues & Brochures that Create Impact

When designing a new product catalogue or corporate brochure, it is critical the catalogue/brochure is designed precisely, with clear objectives and a plan of what information is to be included, and what information to leave out. At Piranha, we have a process we follow that ensures the final catalogue or brochure is designed to fulfil the sales objectives and creative brief.

Our Process

Clarify the Purpose of the Catalogue or Brochure

What is the purpose of the catalogue or brochure, who are we targeting, how will it be distributed, how many will we need, when is it required and what is our call to action?

Define the Content

Next, we establish the content of the catalogue or brochure. What do we want to include and how much space do we intend to allocate to each section? It is important to remember that the reader of the catalogue/brochure will view the content as spreads and not just as pages, so we plan based on spreads as well as individual pages.

Create Meaningful Content

At Piranha, our copywriters will take a verbal brief and turn this into engaging written content for you. Our creative team will plan and take any required photography, create illustrations and infographics and source any appropriate stock imagery to support the primary content.

Final Artwork

Once the catalogue or brochure design has been approved, we create the final print ready artwork to the printer’s specification – ensuring all fonts, Pantone colours, image resolutions etcetera are all optimised for the chosen production process.

Production

We manage the entire production process for you, including specifying the right stock, specifying any extras such as lamination, UV varnish, and the type of binding. We can provide samples prior to printing so you can approve the weight, feel and finish of your brochure before we press the print button!

Delivery

Catalogues and brochures can be packed to suite you. Typically, they are boxed in A4 cartons but can be shrink wrapped in smaller quantities and we can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK for you, or overseas if you prefer.

Catalogue & Brochure Design - Our Conclusion

A catalogue/brochure is your shop window, your silent salesperson and with fewer companies investing in brochures as a marketing tool, there is plenty of space for your literate to be noticed. Clients now tell us they like receiving catalogues and brochures, whereas 10 years ago, perhaps they were fed up with the volume they received. Perhaps now is the best time for a long time to invest in a new catalogue or brochure and see what leads or new business it can generate.
