Piranha receive national acclaim

Piranha Advertising and Marketing, the Preston based award winning full service agency has been receiving critical acclaim from leading national road safety bodies over their development of 'The Perfect Partner' a multi media CD-Rom for Lancashire County Council.

The multi media guide, for accompanying drivers and learners, is a comprehensive resource to support extra private practice sessions throughout the learning process. Statistics show that there is a correlation between higher levels of pre-test practice and reduced crash rates in the first 12 months of driving.

'The Perfect Partner' was officially launched at the Woodlands Conferencing Centre in Chorley on the 13th February and was immediately welcomed as an innovative idea with excellent production qualities by delegates from the numerous road safety partners that attended. Piranha has been working closely with the Lancashire County Council Road Safety Group for a number of years producing campaign literature and delivering marketing support. This special relationship was key to the successful development of 'The Perfect Partner' CD-Rom. Piranha were involved throughout all stages of the production process and were integral to the planning and content structure of the CD-Rom, as well as the development phases.

Piranha consists of two specialist companies, Piranha Advertising & Marketing Solutions Ltd and Piranha Internet Ltd. Established only 5 years ago they have an enviable reputation for the provision of cutting edge creative design, effective marketing strategies and state-of-the-art internet services.

Commenting at the official launch Neil Cunliffe, road safety group manager at Lancashire County Council, said, "We are delighted with 'The Perfect Partner' CD-Rom, the results have surpassed our expectations but the ultimate aim is to reduce the number of crashes by encouraging parents and other accompanying drivers to give learners greater practice hours.

Piranha has put it's mark on this project, producing an excellent product that engages with the user. Everybody in the road safety team, our sponsors KeyMed and, from feedback so far, the industry at large are very excited about this".

The CD-Rom has been designed to engage with both parties, accompanying and learner drivers, furnishing them with up to date information, with examples of various scenarios, tips for practice sessions, test preparation and a wealth of other useful information to assist practice sessions that will supplement professional driving instruction.

Kevin Clinton, head of road safety at ROSPA in his presentation at the official launch said: "The CD-Rom is extremely high quality, well constructed, comprehensive, relevant and informative".

Don Fryer, Piranha’s new business director, commented from their city centre offices," Piranha has an excellent working relationship with Neil Cunliffe and the Road Safety team, so we are obviously very pleased with the praise 'The Perfect Partner' CD-Rom has received. 'The Perfect Partner' CD-Rom is absolutely unique in the market and is a much needed guide for accompanying drivers and learners through the crucial undertaking of practice sessions".
