County Palatine: Public Relations

the client: County Palatine

County Palatine is a registered housing association working in partnership with local authorities, statutory agencies and voluntary bodies to provide and manage affordable housing since 1968. County Palatine is part of the Adactus Housing group that collectively manages 6,000 properties throughout the North West.

the project

The project radically remodels the inside of the Victorian properties to incorporate state of the art, open plan design concepts to make the properties more attractive to younger individuals and couples who are looking to move into their own property for the very first time.

The scheme in the Frenchwood area of Preston would see 2 properties available for rent and 2 available on a shared ownership basis. Rent started at £49 per week, with the properties for sale valued at £55,000.

the brief

To increase the consumer and business profile of the company, the project and parent company across all trade and consumer media.

our strategy

To develop a fully integrated PR campaign utilising the power of regional press, national trade publications and television with full creative support.

project duration

The campaign was planned to cover a six week period from the middle of August to the end of September.

our campaign

The programme consisted of a local, regional and national awareness campaign of the company and its services, combined with a more specific campaign to promote the open day and ultimately create a waiting list for the rental properties and secure the sale of the shared ownership houses. The campaign also included the organisation and promotion of the open day.
